NeATTC Work Force Initiative
The NeATTC is working on a collaborative effort with the New York SSA office (OASAS) and the Institute for Professional Development in the Addictions (IPDA) around the area of work force development. The Northeast ATTC is currently in the process of conducting a New Jersey assessment of workforce related issues. Results of the study are expected in early 2004.
In addition, discussions are under way regarding the NeATTC Work Force Conference to be held in January 2004 in New York City. This one-day conference, in partnership with the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), the Institute for Professional Development in the Addictions (IPDA), and the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Providers of New York State (ASAP-NYS), will bring together leading experts in work force development to share the science behind improving our region’s addictions treatment workforce.
